The National Buffalo Wing Festival

People in Buffalo Hate Us

The National Buffalo Wing Festival is the world’s preeminent wing celebration, held annually on Labor Day Weekend in Buffalo, NY. Created in 2002, more than a quarter of a million people have attended the festival, which features special events, entertainment, buffalo wing tasting and eating contests.

The National Buffalo Wing Festival has become the "Super Bowl" of chicken wing gatherings and competitions and has been showcased by such national media as the Food Network, PBS, the Travel Channel, NBC's The Today Show, the BBC, and Fox and Friends. With more than 90,000 attendees consuming more than 35 tons of wings, the 2009 National Buffalo Wing Festival had a record-breaking year.

Once again, the Wing Coop took Buffalo by storm! The Wing Coop earned the top prize for a Creative BBQ Wing Sauce at the 2007 National Buffalo Wing Festival. We repeated with an award for our Tatanka BBQ Sauce in 2008, and then won again in 2009 with our Santo Tabasco sauce. Not bad when you consider we were up against more than 30 of the best wing joints from across the country and continue to come out on top!
