The National Buffalo Wing Festival
NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!
The National Buffalo Wing Festival is the world’s preeminent wing celebration, held annually on Labor Day Weekend in Buffalo, NY. Created in 2002, more than a quarter of a million people have attended the festival, which features special events, entertainment, buffalo wing tasting and eating contests.
The National Buffalo Wing Festival has become the "Super Bowl" of chicken wing gatherings and competitions and has been showcased by such national media as the Food Network, PBS, the Travel Channel, NBC's The Today Show, the BBC, and Fox and Friends. With more than 75,000 attendees consuming more than 25 tons of wings, the 2007 National Buffalo Wing Festival had a record-breaking year.
This year the Wing Coop took Buffalo by storm! We took three of our sauces and all three were festival favorites. One however, took top prize! The Wing Coop earned the top prize for a Creative BBQ Wing Sauce at the 2007 National Buffalo Wing Festival. We competed against more than 30 restaurants from across the country and came out on top!
